GINA KUSHKA

On any given day, you’ll most likely find London/LA based Gina Kushka making something. Whether recording newly written ideas and producing sonic sketches, writing with artists and friends, or making visual art in her studio; she is always creating. Born in South Africa, Gina grew up surrounded by an eclectic mix of music from different cultures. Even when in foreign tongues, she always had a natural affinity for melody as it moved her the most. As a child, Gina’s desire to sing and perform was no secret - singing, dancing and acting from a very young age, she established a vocal tone that is unique to her. This quickly developed into Gina teaching herself the guitar and turning the letters and poems she wrote into songs. Gina has found herself drawing from these experiences and her talents as both a singer and songwriter, to collaborate with and assist other artists who inspire and excite her on their own creative journeys. Her initial artist releases quickly found early supporters in Zane Lowe and Pigeons and Planes and has written for a diverse range of artists including G-Eazy, Noah Kahan, Ashnikko, The Peach Tree Rascals, and many more. Gina began experimenting with production and discovered a natural uniqueness to her sound and is currently putting the finishing touches to her next body of work. Today, Gina is happily continuing to make things, whether on her laptop, with friends or in her art studio.
